What we checked, what matched and what we corrected.
MoverSignal combines dated federal datasets with a live MOTUS check whenever a profile opens. If they differ, the profile uses the newer live authority and insurance values. A source difference is queued for reconciliation; it is not automatically shown as a warning about the mover.
The latest reconciliation
We corrected 93 profiles identified by the previous audit, including 81 authority differences and 73 insurance coverage gaps. The update reached company profiles, autocomplete records, state search files and state totals together. No reconciliation request failed.

Latest 500-profile live audit
After reconciliation, we reran the same reproducible random sample against the live federal endpoint on August 26, 2026. 500 of 500 official requests returned a record. The four-field core match rate was 100%, with 0 authority differences, 0 insurance coverage gaps and 0 insurance contradictions.

Ongoing monitoring
Every profile visit records whether the live official request succeeded. If the live authority or insurance result differs from the published import, MoverSignal records a reconciliation event without turning that difference into a consumer warning. A weekly 500-profile audit checks for material increases in failures or differences.

What each recommendation means
- Looks clear so far: no supported current problem was found in the records checked. It is not an endorsement.
- Review before paying: one or more required checks is incomplete or needs direct confirmation.
- Proceed with caution: a supported current issue appears, such as inactive registration, a current stop order, pending insurance cancellation, a live role mismatch or an adverse safety rating.
Missing inspections, no safety rating, crash involvement and differences between update schedules do not create a negative recommendation by themselves.
Automated integrity checks
- Every USDOT number appears once in the canonical search index.
- Every generated profile contains the required identity, authority, insurance and safety fields.
- Authority means active carrier or broker authority—not merely a household-goods cargo checkbox.
- Expired and duplicate insurance rows are removed before display.
- Known profiles with live insurance and authority are protected by regression checks.
Corrections and disputes
Users and companies can request a record review. A public profile is not changed merely because someone submits a claim; the request must be checked against official evidence.
